The Bosnian duo of D Punxx & Lexx return to Deepsessions this week for the labels 220th overall release. D Punxx & Lexx’s debut on Deepsessons came in January of this year with the “Velvet Love” EP. The melodic two tracker was well regarded by progressive house fans and an appearance on Mistique followed later in the year. D Punxx & Lexx’s new EP for Deepsessions is entitled “Morning Drive” and it comes with two brand new original productions.
Morning Drive” leads the EP off with an airy melodic vibe that’s complemented with some catchy vocals. It’s a smooth flowing record with some nice vocal sections paired with wonderful melodies. It’s an ambitious task to attempt a vocal track so early in your production career and we applaud D Punxx & Lexx for that. The companion piece “Afternoon Blaze” comes with an uptempo, drummy vibe that packs some nice dance floor energy. Smooth rhythmic tones complement the groove nicely and the melodic themes are just excellent. A wealth of dancing keys and emotional chord changes combine with some distinctive vocals elements for a wonderful climax which closes the EP out on a high note!
