The 233rd release on Deepsessions sees Mikelangelos Project returning to the label. The Colombian born producer is now based in Miami and this is his third appearance on Deepsessions. The “Sacred Spirit” and “Cronos” EPs came in July and September respectively and further releases on Stereo Enchained have also followed. “War” is the newest Mikelangelos Project offering for Deepsessions and it includes 3 brand new original productions.
The title cut comes in two versions the intro and original mixes.The original mix is a well produced progressive cut with some interesting musical themes. The melancholic nature is quite enchanting and the tough groove keeps the record firmly on the dance floor. The intro mix is just that really, a shorter excursion that’s full of atmosphere, grainy textures and haunting vocal samples.
The second track on the EP “Chemical Transition” presents a similarly big groove that comes with nice energy, wispy atmospheres and some bubbly synths which provide some wonderful melodic content. The third and final composition on the EP “Tears” puts a prefect cap on the release with smooth hypnotic lines, smooth flowing atmospheres and another big sounding groove that’s going to be great on the dance floor. A quality EP from Mikelangelos Project and another great signing from Deepsessions.
